Ensuring that your Clerk, and the elected Chairman, have a copy of the latest edition of Charles Arnold Baker - Local Council Administration (now at the 7th edition), obtainable from SALC, is another good way of getting to know the latest procedures and rules.

NOTE:  The Local Council Administration Book by Charles Arnold Baker covers the grant sections in great detail especially Section 137 (usually referred to as S137 and known as 'The Free Resource') which contains an explaination on the provision of grants to assist charities such as the 'League of Friends of a Church'.
